Can I make a booking at the moment?

Absolutley! In fact - please do, your support is much appreciated! All bookings need to be made online. When you make your booking, the system will indicate whether a group of your size can be accommodated at that particular time. We are fortunate to have a great outdoor space, if you would like to be seated outdoors please be sure to indicate this when placing your online booking. These are a couple of things to consider when booking at the moment:

  • Patrons are encouraged to be seated while drinking/eating.
  • Face masks are required, subject to exemptions.
  • Density limits apply for indoor areas.
If you are unable to enter a booking at a specific time/date, it is because it is either fully booked or unavailable (possibly due to density limits). Please try an alternative time/date/guest number, etc. Or email us for a quick reply info@thebackyardconcord.com.au

What extra precautions are you taking to ensure The Backyard is a safe place to visit?

The safety and wellbeing of our customers, team and community is our top priority. While we continue to serve you, we’re taking extra precautions to ensure The Backyard at Briars Sports is clean and hygienic including more frequent cleaning and encouraging healthy physical distancing and good hygiene. > Our Covid-Marshall is on patrol! Look for the team member in the bright green vest. Please be respectful and follow any requests for your safety and that of others. > Density limits are followed as directed by NSW Health. > There is more frequent cleaning with a focus on high traffic areas and frequently touched surfaces and bathrooms > We would strongly prefer payment via PayPass/contactless and cashless methods > Hand sanitiser units are at our main entrances, dining areas, on tables and near bathrooms > The Backyard will keep any unwell team member at home even if slightly unwell. We would like to assure you that we are staying up-to-date with the latest government advice and are working hard to adapt to better serve our customers and community. We are extremely fortunate with our wonderful, spacious restaurant with plenty of outdoor space, which is the perfect location for physical distance dining.

What can I do during my visit for the saftey of my family, friends and community?

Whilst in the venue, we would appreciate it if you could observe the Covid-Safe rules in place. Remember to use the sanitising stations and hand sanitisers on each table, wash your hands regularly including after touching common surfaces and after coughing or sneezing. Please do not come along if you have flu-like symptoms. Contactless payment is preferred at this time.

Do masks need to be worn during my visit?

The Backyard is part of Briars Sports who maintain a Covid Saftey plan in the interest of maintaining the safety of members and visitors. As at 3 Jan 2022, face masks are required, subject to exemptions.

What are the current trading hours?

Our trading hours are 12 noon to 3pm and 5pm to 9pm Monday to Friday; and 11am to 9pm on weekends.

Can I book a function, birthday, christening, xmas party, etc?

You are most welcome to book and celebrate your special occasion. All bookings must be made online. Share Platters/Party Menus are not available. Simply book your tables and order from our delicious menu on the day. The best option is to simply open a food tab or a drinks tab for your guests so they can order as they please. Please note as a restaurant, we expect that all guests dine (3 years and over). BYO cake is welcome, along with decorations. You may arrive 15 minutes ahead of your booking time to decorate your tables if you wish (please not earlier).
